Galaxy SHey guys, so after I finished updating my S22 with One UI 7, I have been facing some issues with my app icons. They are just wrong or just won't show up. This is happening particularly for apps that I have kept in folders. Like if the app is Discord, then Whatsapp's icon is displayed etc.
It was working fine before the update. I am attaching screenshots for the same.
I asked around and someone suggested clearing the cache and the Dalvik cache, but I wanted to ask here before I did anything.
Any way to fix this? Thanks!

Galaxy SMe too, see screen shot. I just started seeing it yesterday or today. I've only had the latest update for a week maybe two tops.

Galaxy SHere's how you can attempt to fix it:
1. Clear Cache and Data for the Launcher:
Sometimes, the home screen launcher may have cached data that's causing icons to display incorrectly.
Go to Settings > Apps > [Your launcher app] (e.g., Samsung One UI Home).
Tap on Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.
Restart your phone and see if the icons are fixed.
2. Rebuild the App Icons:
Sometimes, rearranging the apps in the folder or even removing and re-adding them might trigger the system to refresh the icons properly.
Try deleting the app from the folder and then adding it back to see if the correct icon appears.
3. Clear Dalvik Cache (if you're familiar with it):
Dalvik cache clearing can sometimes help with deeper system-level glitches, but it's usually a more advanced step.
If you're comfortable, you can clear the Dalvik cache via recovery mode. Here’s how:
1. Turn off your phone.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up button + Bixby button (if applicable) + Power button.
3. Once the Samsung logo appears, release all buttons.
4. In recovery mode, select Wipe Cache Partition.
5. After it’s done, select Reboot system now.
4. Update or Reinstall Apps:
If the issue is specific to certain apps, check if there are any app updates in the Play Store. Reinstalling the apps might also help.
5. Restart or Reboot in Safe Mode:
Restarting your phone in Safe Mode can help identify if a third-party app is causing the issue. In Safe Mode, only system apps are active. To do this:
1. Hold down the Power button.
2. When the Power menu appears, press and hold the Power off option until it turns into Safe Mode.
3. See if the issue persists while in Safe Mode.
