Dear Team,

I recently updated the software on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (yesterday), and since then I have been experiencing issues with connecting to my 5GHz Wi-Fi network.

The device either disconnects frequently or fails to establish a stable connection. For reference: The same 5GHz Wi-Fi network works perfectly on my other devices, including Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Mi 11x Pro.

The 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network works fine on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This issue seems to have started only after the recent software update. Could you please advise on the next steps or provide a fix for this problem? Looking forward to your assistance.

Hi 👋,

This looks like a software-related issue since it started right after the update. A few things you can try:

1. Reset Network Settings → Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will refresh all Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile data settings.

2. Forget & Reconnect Wi-Fi → Remove the 5GHz network from your phone and connect again by entering the password.

3. Change Router Channel → Sometimes the 5GHz band works better on a different channel. If possible, try adjusting the channel in your router settings.

4. Safe Mode Test → Boot your phone in safe mode and check if the issue persists. If it works fine in safe mode, a third-party app may be causing conflicts.

5. Wipe Cache Partition → Power off your phone, enter recovery mode, and wipe the cache partition (this won’t delete your data).

If none of these help, I’d recommend reporting this through the Samsung Members > Support > Error Reports option so the software team can investigate and push a fix in the next update.

Hope this helps!

I have already tried the steps 1 & 2 without any luck. Let me try the others too. Will keep you posted

Anytime! 😊 Glad to help. Please do try the remaining steps and let me know how it goes. If the issue still continues even after that, I’d suggest submitting an error report through the Samsung Members → Support → Error reports section right after the problem happens, so the technical team can analyze the logs and push out a proper fix if needed.
