The S24 FE uses a virtual (reel) proximity sensor designed to detect screen proximity reliably while maintaining a slim and modern device design. In some situations, factors like screen protectors, cases, or call environment can affect its sensitivity, leading to unintended screen activation or call interruptions.
Please try the following steps to improve call experience:
- Remove any thick screen protector or case temporarily and test a call.
- Ensure your device software is up to date: Settings > Software update > Download and install.
- Restart the device to refresh system functions.
- We understand that this can be frustrating, especially on a premium device, and your feedback regarding the virtual proximity sensor has been noted and shared with the Samsung product team for further consideration in future updates.
