Please any one has knowledge how trade in works especially when you want to trade in a contract phone which is not yet due for an upgrade.

Do you trade in a contract phone to buy another by paying cash or another contract?

I would like to know as well. How these trade in works because you have a contract phone running till 2025, December.
But you are being told that you may trade in your device. If you go to the shops telling you that you should pay the existing contract as well and sign up for another contract.

Please Samsung you have to look into that trade in policy for the contract phone.
That reduction of partying away your device is a leaping off

So I went to Samsung recently and wanted to know if I could trade in my S22 for the S24 which is still under contract and they said yes because I would be paying the balance for S24 in cash. But in terms of trading in and taking another contract, you can do that but you have to pay for the new contract as well as your current one.

That is my disappointment with the trade in with the contract you are going to end up paying two contracts while having one phone

When you are having s22 ultra on contact you pay over R700 only for device and new contract 800
