how to tag contacts to my mobile photos in the Samsung s24 ultra gallery?

there is no icon that resembles a tag or a person on the photo when i view it. it doesn't appears as an overlay on the photo or in the options menu. and the Gallery app doesn't offer suggestions for tagging when it recognizes faces in the photos.

If you hit the search button in the Gallery, you can search by tags, location, subject.

There is a header called "People." It automatically finds similar faces, groups them together, and asks you to put names for faces. You can enter a contact's name and their pictures are made searchable.

It seems the new Gallery app isn't recognizing all faces. There's no way to edit or add People tags, you can only name the facial groupings that the Gallery app suggests.

There is also no option to get the Gallery app to rescan or re-check photos and suggest faces for you to tag.

Thank you for your reply, I know what you are talking about and when I go to "people" but I found few names taged there only 29 out of 2k+ names in my contacts and more than 3k photoe. The names are not taged to all their faces appear in the gallery.

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the tagging contacts feature in the Samsung S24 Ultra Gallery app. Here are the steps to tag contacts in your photos:

Open the Gallery App: Launch the Gallery app on your Samsung S24 Ultra.

Select the Photo: Choose the photo you want to tag.

Access the Details, it is ( ! ) sign .

Tag Faces: If the Gallery app recognizes faces in the photo, it should display a circle around the recognized face. Tap on the circle, and then you should see an option to ""Add name.""

Add Contact: Type in the name of the contact you want to tag, or select from your contacts if it's available. You can add a new contact if the name doesn't exist in your contacts list.

Save: After tagging, ensure you save the changes.

Thank you for your reply, but when I access the Details by clicking on (!) sign, In order to tag the faces available in the photo, I don't find any circle on any face.. Can you please help me out? Please note that my Gallery version is: 15,1,03,12
