Your phone's software is mismatched. Try flashing different firmware using Odin. Make sure you're installing the right firmware for your phone by checking the model code first. Your phone is made for the USA market but it can work just fine in southern Africa, so make sure the firmware is for a USA phone. You can also try to force an OTA update through Smart Switch.
