Hey guys. Just a quick one, so I don't really like the idea of wireless earphones for some reason I am stuck with the wired ones I still like them. Last year I went out to a tech shop quickly to grab a pair of wired earphones since now I can't use the pointed ones.

Shock of my life, the earphones are not supported and won't connect. So my question is, does the Samsung s22 require earphones that are specifically from Samsung or the jack of the earphones is not the correct one for my phone? Because I did notice with my USB C charging cable compared to the earphones I've bought, the input is slightly different; the latter's input is a bit longer but still fits well. I'm confused. Someone please help me understand?

TIA ♡

Have you installed usb c audio driver on the phone? It's in the galaxy store. I ran across it by just searching 'Samsung'.

I think you need to install this. The official earphones install it automatically when you plug them inScreenshot_20230220_055852_Galaxy Store_1000046683_1676865532.jpg

Thank you for your response and trying to help. Someone already told me about that app but I am having trouble finding it on the Galaxy app, it is weird. Just searched for it again. Nothing.. Am I missing something here?

Is it maybe under a different name? Is that possible?

Try search for it on Google play store, it should be there but maybe a different logo. Be aware that it must say the developer is "Samsung electronics Co., Ltd"

It's not a software thing but more of a hardware thing

Since I do work with sound I need to get a dongle for my S20 ultra. What you need to look for is a dongle/earphone with a DAC built into it
That will solve your problem

I found this on Playstore, I am going to try it. If the problem is persistent then I will have to go get the dongle situation 😪Screenshot_20230220_222806_Google Play Store_1000019950_1676924886.png
