The S23 Ultra, like many high-end phones, uses OIS to reduce blur from handshakes and movement. This system involves tiny, movable components within the camera module.
* These components are designed to "float" to compensate for movement, and this movement can sometimes produce a rattling sound, especially when the phone is shaken.

The S23 Ultra has a sophisticated camera system with multiple lenses and sensors. These components, and their mechanisms for zooming and focusing, can contribute to internal movement and sounds.
Therefore:
* A slight rattling sound, particularly when shaking the phone, is often attributed to the OIS system and is generally considered normal.

Please note that, Even after a few days, the system might still be running background processes to optimize the new software. This can temporarily consume more battery. While you mentioned no improvement, it's worth considering if it slightly reduced over a longer period (like a week or two after the update).

Wait for few more days.
Every update this issue persists

Hopefully I'm in the right place here.

Hi Riwaj23, I'm in principle quite satisfied with my 23 Ultra.

But there is one problem concerning the accu.

I've made all the necessary settings to save battery charge but it runs down very fast.

Can u please help me 🙏🤗

Step 1: Check What’s Draining Your Battery

Go to Settings → Battery and device care → Battery → Usage.

Look for apps or system functions using unusual amounts of power.

If you see one app draining too much → try Force Stop or uninstall/disable it.

⚙️ Step 2: Optimize Settings

Dark Mode → On (saves battery on AMOLED screens).

Screen Brightness → Lower, or use Adaptive Brightness.

Screen Timeout → Set to 30 seconds or 1 minute.

Always On Display → Turn off, or set to “Tap to show.”

Motion smoothness → Set to Standard (60Hz) instead of Adaptive (120Hz).

Location (GPS) → Keep it off unless needed.

Background Apps → Settings → Battery → Background usage limits → Enable Put unused apps to sleep.

🔋 Step 3: Battery Care & Maintenance

Avoid charging past 85% (you can enable this in Battery → More battery settings → Protect battery).

Use the original Samsung charger and cable.

Restart your phone once in a while — clears background processes.

🛠 Step 4: Advanced Fixes

Software update: Sometimes battery drain is due to bugs, so check Settings → Software update.

Safe Mode test: Restart in Safe Mode (press and hold power button → tap and hold Power Off → Safe Mode). If the battery lasts longer, then a third-party app is the culprit.

Battery calibration: Let your phone fully discharge to 0%, then charge to 100% without interruption. Do this once in a while.

👉 Question for you:
Does your battery drain even when idle (like overnight), or mostly when you’re actively using apps? That’ll help me narrow down whether it’s a background issue or screen/app usage issue.
