S20 Plus is the worst phone I've ever owned!

Hello,

I've been an owner of Samsung phones for years now, I think we call can agree that the basic function of a phone is to make and receive calls. When a "flagship" phone isn't able to do that, I'm not sure what to call this device, definitely not a phone. My s20+ stops receiving calls and SMS when it's been idle for a couple of hours. By idle I mean when I have not made any calls. Turning on/off flight mode doesn't fix it, restarting the phone doesn't fix it. I must actively try to call anyone to "wake up" the phone temporarily then I can receive any missed SMS's and calls....then I have to repeat ina couple of hours. 

 I have been trying to resolve this issue with Samsung directly, but with such terrible customer service, they didn't take me seriously. I'm reading online that many people are having the same issue all over the world, and they all say that Samsung is ignoring them and just saying "the phone is operating as per manufacturer's specifications", which is also the answer I got after trying the typical troubleshooting steps with them and my service provider.

This is a horrible phone, not worth the price AT ALL. I want to return it!!! I already went back to my S9 because I already missed 2 job interviews due to the S20 Plus. Terrible phone, terrible customer service/technical team. Never buying Samsung again, and I really really wish everyone would speak up, so this company can stop taking its customers for granted.

17th September ,that means 3 days ago I have purchased Samsung galaxy S20 plus.

with in 72 hours, I became disappointed with this stuip phone. reasons are
Battery drained, at least one day unable to use.

while video call through WhatsApp...phone gets 90 degree hot.

during listening music through YouTube, the back side of the phone is vibrating.

really Samsung disappointed me.

I recommend to public, do not buy this Samsung galaxy S20 plus flagship phone.

It is indeed for me, the WORST phone I ever owned. I have 2 of them, 1 for my wife and 1 myself. I am 41 years old, used many phones, from simple erricssons till nokia to apple now samsung, used it all. I was very satisfied with my 8plus, that was a good phone. But this 1, is just a huge disaster.

 

Using lots of internet, when everything is turned off, I can't use smart view on my LG C9, whereas my other samsung phone still makes contact, so it's not the tv. Internet is slow, I have lots of hickup, whereas other phone I am using with this one, doesn't have any trouble. Screen freezes, no response, calls not coming in, messages who cone much later, no its not my provider. I have brought it back a while ago, MediaMarkt Holland. And after 3 weeks of "repairing" samsung send me back my phone, without any actions taken. Just a fabric settings reset...I could've done it myself. But they said that they repaired it, after seeing no improvement they admitted that they just did a fabric reset.

 

Next phone what I am going to buy is not samsung anymore, LG or Apple. Big middlefinger to ur customers? Big middlefinger back to you my friend!

I agree, My phone was having problems on day 1 and tech support kept telling me there is nothing wrong with my phone. 

Well having the slowest data over any other phone is a problem! Also having the worst camera on the market for a flagship phone is also terrible, I bought it because the camera was suppose to be amazing..

Recently i noticed that I am missing some calls. Checked with Samsung Care and they identified issue with my SIM as I am using the 5G network. They said that my SIM needs to be changed to 5G SIM.
When I contacted my service provider - Batelco, they said there is no special SIM for 5G,hence it is not the issue. So there could be an issue with the phone itself

Update

Got fedup and switched over to Note 20 Ultra 5G. Happy to note that no issues about missing calls now. So S20 + was the issue

Worst Phone Ever is Right!!

My phone has the slowest data and they keep telling me the 5G network is blazing fast..LOL

My phone is lucky to get 3mg download and 1mg upload speed, it's like going back in time.

The camera is the worst I have ever seen on a phone. 

For all those who are thinking of buying the S20+ DONT DO IT!!

Save your money! I Will Never Buy another Samsung Product after the poor customer service I have experienced with this phone.

If the issue continues, please bring the device to the nearest Samsung Service Center. 

Find the nearest center to you online.

I totally agree with you. I've been obsessed with Samsung phones over the years but S20 is just the worst. The worst part is that I bought 2 (one was a gift for my partner). I cannot even begin to list the issues I'm going through with this phone. Hopefully I never get to worst my money on another Samsung phone again.

I am frustrated with this phone. I used to have a Galaxy Note 9. I still have it. It works great.

The S20 is horrible.

Camera produces pale pictures, SMS cannot be sent, Android Auto app fails on this phone all the time, GPS fails.

Very disappointed. I paid almost $2,000.00 for this piece of junk.

Should have stuck with Galaxy Note.
