Galaxy SDear Samsung Members Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concern and frustration regarding the unavailability of the One UI 8.5 update—particularly the beta enrollment—on my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra device here in Bahrain.
I have been actively following all official announcements, community discussions, and update rollouts related to One UI 8.5. As a loyal Samsung user and someone who genuinely appreciates the innovation and ecosystem that Samsung provides, I was very excited about the release of One UI 8.5. The improvements in performance optimization, UI enhancements, AI-based features, and overall system stability are something I have been eagerly looking forward to experiencing firsthand.
However, despite owning a flagship device like the S25 Ultra—which should ideally be among the first to receive such updates—I have not received any update notification. More importantly, I am unable to find any option for beta program registration in the Samsung Members app. This is particularly disappointing because many users in other regions already have access to the beta program and are testing the new features.
I would like to highlight that I have taken all necessary steps from my side to ensure that my device is eligible and properly configured. My phone is fully updated with the latest available software version in Bahrain. I have checked the Samsung Members app multiple times, cleared cache, reinstalled the app, and even ensured that my region settings are correctly set. Despite all these efforts, there is still no sign of One UI 8.5 or the beta enrollment option.
This situation raises a few important concerns:
Firstly, there seems to be a lack of clarity regarding region-based availability. If the One UI 8.5 beta is not yet available in Bahrain, there should be clear communication within the Samsung Members app explaining this. Currently, users like myself are left confused, repeatedly checking for updates without any official guidance or timeline.
Secondly, as a premium device user, I expected a more consistent and prioritized update experience. The S25 Ultra represents the best of Samsung’s technology, and users who invest in such devices do so with the expectation of receiving early access to new features and updates. The delay or absence of One UI 8.5 in Bahrain creates a sense of neglect compared to other regions.
Thirdly, the Samsung Members app is supposed to be the central platform for updates, beta programs, and community engagement. However, in this case, it is not serving its purpose effectively. If beta programs are region-restricted, there should be an option to at least register interest or receive notifications when it becomes available in our country.
I would also like to understand whether this is a permanent limitation or just a phased rollout delay. If it is a delay, kindly provide an estimated timeline for when Bahrain users can expect access to One UI 8.5 or its beta program. Transparency in this regard would greatly improve user satisfaction and trust.
Additionally, if there are any alternative methods to enroll in the beta program—such as changing region settings, using a different Samsung account region, or any official workaround—I would appreciate clear guidance. Many users are trying unofficial methods, which can risk device stability and security. It would be much better if Samsung provides a safe and official path for interested users.
From a user experience perspective, this situation affects more than just access to new features. It impacts how users perceive Samsung’s commitment to global support and fairness across regions. Bahrain may be a smaller market compared to others, but it still has a strong base of loyal Samsung users who deserve equal consideration.
I would also like to point out that timely updates are not just about new features—they are also about security, optimization, and staying current with technological advancements. Delays in updates can create gaps in user experience and even affect device performance compared to regions that receive updates earlier.
As someone who works in a professional environment and values efficiency, I rely on my device for both personal and work-related tasks. Having access to the latest software improvements would enhance productivity and overall usability. This is why the delay feels particularly impactful.
To summarize my concerns:
No One UI 8.5 update available on S25 Ultra in Bahrain
No beta enrollment option visible in Samsung Members app
Lack of clear communication regarding regional availability
No timeline or official update information for Bahrain users
Limited guidance on alternative solutions
I kindly request the Samsung Members support team to:
Provide a clear explanation regarding the availability of One UI 8.5 in Bahrain
Confirm whether the beta program will be launched in this region
Share an expected timeline for rollout if possible
Offer any official solution or guidance for users who want early access
Improve communication within the Samsung Members app for region-specific updates
I am confident that Samsung values its customers and continuously strives to improve user experience. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and addressed promptly. I look forward to your response and to enjoying the One UI 8.5 experience on my device soon.
Thank you for your time and support.
Kind regards,
Mehtab Feroz
