As some of you may be aware, I have been monitoring the performance of previous flagship models, specifically the S23 series, following each global software update.
I must say that up until December, I was generally satisfied with Samsung's maintenance of device performance as it felt solid (unlike one ui6.1.1 which was a disaster) but still with each update it feels like the performance is dropped.
However, the Feb/March update has brought an even more noticeable degradation in the S23 series' performance, particularly concerning the battery and even more the camera functionality. Having two Galaxy S23 devices, one of which is newer, leads me to conclude that this is not an isolated device malfunction but rather a widespread software issue originating from Samsung.

Please note that these comparisons are mostly based on the phones' standard camera settings. The performance issues extend to the Pro settings and Expert RAW, which have also seen a significant decline. I'll delve into those in a further post.
Including analysis on battery and apps performance.

I suspect this situation is related to Samsung's ongoing push on upgrading to their newer flagship models.
Unfortunately, this can feel dismissive to those who either can't currently afford the latest devices or who are happy with their existing phones and expect the yearly promised performance based software updates not performance declines.

These are the reasons stereotypes like "Androids are worse than iphones" etc.. are around.

Thank you for reading. I'd love to hear your opinions and whether you've experienced something similar. If so, please share this to help others facing the same issue!

I don't totally disagree with you. At the same time there is room for Samsung, focusing on one ui 7 and 8. I belive certain things are not given much priority that is a fact. They have given priority to one ui 7 surely the updates. The monthly ones not that much because they they have to big ones pending. Also let's wait for the one ui 7. Then we can see how far or bad the issue is. What country and province are you in

While i agree with you that there's room for improvement. I dont agree that it is a good enough excuse for the steady decline of performance after each update since the releases of the s24 and s25, it's seems more and more like a marketing push.

S24 has been promised 7 major updates. Now thos year alone, we have two down. Most likely w might even have two more next year. I'm sure you get the pattern. So will have enough time to compare the changes and we can surely look into these concerns with much clarity
