Means no custom OS..Nice. The days for owning your phone are going away, and the new install restrictions make it even worse. Imagine you can't install an app from non-verified developers!
I think the reason they no longer give the unlock bootloader option is that new devices will get 6+ years of software update, when that end time is reached, the phone will already be old and most customers will upgrade to a new phone which makes custom roms useless and also stock OS already have plenty of cool features..which makes sense to remove the OEM unlocking option from developer options. Well, if all phone manufacturers do that, the world of customising your own phone is gone, and you are stuck with the manufacturers preloaded limited options, implying more control...
Well said man. You make a sound argument here. They should make sure they they give us mice features. And longer sensible support given they took away custom roms.
