Troubleshooting Step: Clearing System Cache

To potentially resolve performance issues following a software update (e.g., One UI 7 on a Samsung Galaxy device), you can attempt to clear the system cache. Please follow these steps carefully:

1. Power off your Samsung device.

2. Connect your powered-off device to another powered device (e.g., a compatible smartphone using a USB-C to USB-C cable) or a computer via a USB cable.

3. Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up button simultaneously.

4. When the Samsung logo appears, release the Power button while continuing to hold the Volume Up button.

5. The device will enter Recovery Mode. Note

that touch screen functionality is typically

disabled in this mode.

6. Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons to navigate the menu options.

7. Scroll to and highlight the "Wipe cache

8. Press the Power button to select "Wipe cache partition".

9. Once the cache wipe is complete, navigate to and select the "Reboot system now" option using the Volume buttons and confirming with the Power button.

This procedure clears temporary system data that may be contributing to the observed issues. As a user experiencing a similar problem after a recent update, performing these steps successfully resolved the issue on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. While this solution proved effective in that instance, individual results may vary.

Then the issue won't be the update. At least, that's what I believe. It should be an application draining the battery. Try putting the applications you rarely use into deep sleep and check.
