I am facing an issue with my Samsung S22 Ultra after the recent upgrade. A white-green light appears in the top left corner of the screen, near the front camera. There is no physical damage to the phone, and the issue only started after the upgrade.

If the issue persists after the software update, we suggest performing a factory reset. Please keep in mind that this action will restore your device to its default settings, resulting in the deletion of all data. Before proceeding, please back up your data. Here are the steps:

Backing Up Data:

Open your device settings and tap on "Samsung account" at the top of the screen.
Select "Samsung Cloud" and proceed to "Back up data" or "Restore data."
Follow the on-screen prompts to select the items you wish to back up and initiate the backup process.

Performing Factory Reset:

Launch the Settings app and navigate to "General management."
Select "Reset" and then "Factory data reset."
Review the provided information and confirm your decision by swiping to "Reset" and tapping "Delete all" to initiate the reset process.

Following the factory reset, please check if the green line issue persists. If it does, we recommend visiting the nearest Samsung service center for a thorough evaluation and potential repairs. You can locate the nearest service center using the following link: https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/service-center/

We genuinely value your patience and cooperation throughout this process. Our goal is to ensure that your Samsung mobile functions optimally, and we are committed to resolving any issues you may encounter.

Dear Team,

Thank you for your prompt response.

I would like to inform you that I am willing to proceed with the factory reset. However, before doing so, I want to ensure that this will resolve my issue, as I have a lot of data and several configured services, which makes the process a bit challenging for me.

Additionally, I noticed that the green light disappears when I switch the display setting from adaptive to standard 60Hz. Please advise if visiting a service center would involve any charges, considering that my phone is out of warranty. I believe this is a manufacturer issue that occurred only after the recent upgrade.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Arshad
