To keep it concise, Dolby Vision is a proprietary standard for HDR technology. While the Samsung devices in question do not meet the Dolby Vision standard, the S22 and S23 models support HDR10+. However, it's worth noting that almost any HDR device can still play Dolby Vision content with varying results.

HDR or High-Dynamic-Range enhances each frame of your content by making the content have deeper blacks and brighter whites. It also improves the color representation and saturation based on the content.

That's Dolby atmos, for sound. Dolby vision is for on screen content.
