Galaxy SEven if you didn’t put it in water, a few things can trigger it:
🔹 High humidity or condensation – If the phone was in a damp room, bathroom, or pocket, condensation can form in the USB-C port.
🔹 False detection – Sometimes dust, lint, or even corrosion inside the port can confuse the sensors.
🔹 Overly sensitive sensor – A few Galaxy S series users have reported false moisture alerts after updates.
What you can try:
1. Check the port – Use a flashlight to see if there’s lint, dust, or debris inside. Blow gently or use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid sharp objects.
2. Let it dry – Leave the phone in a cool, dry place for a few hours. Avoid heat sources like a hairdryer.
3. Try wireless charging – If you need to charge immediately, wireless charging bypasses the USB port.
4. Restart in Safe Mode – Rarely, software glitches trigger the alert. Safe Mode can help confirm if it’s an app issue.
5. Update software – Check for any pending system updates, since Samsung sometimes fixes false detection bugs.
👉 If it keeps happening even when the port is clean and dry, it might be a faulty moisture sensor and you’d need Samsung support to check it.
