A back cover on a smartphone like the Samsung S21 FE can come loose due to a few reasons:
Wear and Tear: Over time, the clips or adhesive that hold the cover in place can wear out, causing it to become loose.
Impact or Drop: If the phone has been dropped or hit, it can cause the back cover to loosen or even slightly warp, preventing it from fitting properly.
Heat Exposure: Excessive heat can cause the adhesive to weaken or the cover to expand, making it less secure.
Improper Installation: If the back cover was removed and not reinstalled correctly, it might not fit snugly.
Manufacturing Defect: Sometimes, a loose back cover can be due to a defect from the manufacturing process.
How to Fix It:
Check for Debris: Make sure there's no dust or debris preventing the cover from sitting flush.
Reinstall the Cover: Try to carefully press the cover back into place, ensuring all the clips or adhesives are aligned.
Use a Case: A case can help hold a loose back cover in place.
Professional Repair: If the cover remains loose, it might be best to take the phone to a professional repair service to check for any underlying issues or replace the adhesive.

Phone has never dropped or experienced shock. The amount of caution I have been using with the phone, you'd think it's the last of the last on the market.

I don't even allow people to touch it, I even have a mouse pad I rest it on, I never rest it on a hard surface.
