without losing data would be to do the suggestion below:
Please note this can and could possibly "brick" your device if not done properly. You will need some good technical knowledge regarding the phones CSC and which regions CSC your device supports.
When changing the CSC to a USA based CSC, it will automatically download the latest version available for that region on your phone.
You can go to SamFw.com to get more info regarding this
Method 2 -
Will erase your phone completely when you flash using ODIN, I would advise changing your CSC beforehand even for this step as well.

Galaxy SJust note that most USA firmware are carrier based supported firmware and may be the reason why it get's interupted.
