Very important!!!!!!

After updating to One UI 7 do this.
Wipe cache partition.

But before that, For the new models like S24 ultra, you need to connect the phone to a PC using USB-C headphones/charger. This is crucial on new devices, they often require a USB-C connection to enter. This is true for me, it didn't until I connected my phone to my MacBook

Wiping thecache partition on your Samsung Galaxy (or any Android device) can offer several benefits — especially after system updates or when experiencing strange behavior. Here's a breakdown:

Benefits of Wiping Cache Partition

  1. Improves Performance

    • Over time, cached system files can get outdated or corrupted. Clearing them helps your phone run more smoothly.
  2. Fixes Minor Glitches

    • Helps resolve random reboots, freezing, lag, or apps misbehaving without deleting your personal data.
  3. Solves Post-Update Issues

    • After major Android or One UI updates, old cached data can conflict with new system files — wiping the cache helps clean that up.
  4. Improves Battery Life

    • Sometimes background processes get stuck due to corrupted cache, draining the battery. Wiping cache can stop that.
  5. Safe and Non-Destructive

    • It doesn’t erase personal files (like photos, apps, contacts). It only clears temporary system data.
  6. Helps with Overheating

    • Especially if the phone runs hot for no reason, cache corruption could be a cause.

📌 When Should You Do It?

  • After a software update
  • If your phone is lagging or glitchy
  • If apps keep crashing or misbehaving
  • If the battery is draining faster than usual
  • Before doing a factory reset
Steps to wipe cache partition and enter recovery mode.

Here’s a step-by-step method that typically works for Samsung devices like the S24 Ultra:

Correct Steps to Enter Recovery Mode:

  1. Power off the phone completely.

    • If it refuses to power off normally, force shutdown by holding Volume Down + Power until it turns off.
  2. Connect the phone to a PC or USB-C headphones/charger for newer devices.

    • This is crucial on newer Samsung devices. They often require a USB-C connection to enter recovery mode.
  3. Hold Volume Up + Power simultaneously (while the phone is off and connected).

    • Keep holding until the Samsung logo appears, then release both buttons.
  4. You should now be in recovery mode.

Once in Recovery Mode:

  • Use the volume keys to scroll.
  • Select “Wipe cache partition” using the Power button.
Let me know if this helps, if it does mark it a solution.
