Galaxy NoteHi there,
Smartphone displays are getting bigger and bigger day-by-day. With these bigger displays, Samsung phones can provide you a better multitasking experience. I really love using multiwindows as I can stream my favorite youtube video and can use WhatsApp or other social media at the same time. Let's check how to use pop-up view and split-screen in Samsung Galaxy devices.
To open a currently running app in the pop-up view, open the recent apps & click on the app icon
From the dropdown menu, select Open in pop-up view.
The selected app will open in a pop-up view. You can also drag and drop an app from the recent menu to the center of the screen to open it in pop-up view. Once in the pop-up window, you can increase or decrease the pop-up size by simply dragging either of the bottom corners and the window can be relocated by dragging on the top part which is highlighted in the picture below.
You can open multiple apps at the same time with this option. You have the option to adjust the opacity(transparency), minimize or maximize the pop-up, and also to close the pop-up.
The next option is to share the screen with 2 apps rather than flood the screen with multiple apps.
You need to open the recent apps, press on the app icon, and select open in split screen view. You can also drag the app to the top or bottom half of the screen to open split screen.
A new window will open requesting to select the app which you want to use along with the app you have selected first. You can either choose an app from the edge panel or you can choose any of the installed apps which support split screen.
You can drag the centerline between the apps to resize them at any time. Also, there are options to interchange the position of the apps by clicking the center bar and to save the current app pair to the edge panel for easy access.
Once you have saved an app pair, it can be accessed anytime from the edge panel😎
What's your favorite app pair? Please do mention those in the comments.
