Iphone 12 pro max photo, came out same year as the s21 ultra, after numerous software updates even on ios 16, can't beat the samsung even the iphone 14 pro max can't still do this! It is a great product, just samsung south africa store and online store that is really bad as compared to istore. Really why samsung drops the ball on such a exceptional product?

I phones are better for close range pictures that's my guess. The process power on those is intense

Actually not,I made quite a couple of comparisons and watched endless reviews. Samsung tends to add a lot of vivid colors some people like it some doesn't, it is really subjective, samsung has more dynamic range than the iphone, but the iphone is better with bokeh, but also depends on the conditions where it was shot. At times tje s22 ultra has better edge detection that at times makes the bokeh better than the iphone. The iphone 14 pro max has better photos at night when taking selfies, but again samsung is better with selfies at day,not blowing at the background. Apple cameraapp opens faster than samsung, samsung always had that lagging problem. If you are a proffessional photographer or an aspiring one like me,the samsung is way more fun with the pro camera controls, the iphone is very limited and you rely mostly on the built in filters and the AI. Not a bad feature and apples neural engine and machine learning is quite amazing, I just like more contol over what my camera does, dont want surprises. Samsungs AI is also amazing, but some people especially ladies lean more towards the iphone ad it is really just point and shoot, samsung you have to know a bit more about the lenses and the features as there are tons of them, for some it is confusing, but still samsung allows spontaneous shots that is brilliant, but I would say on point and shoot samsung my get 7/10 and the iphone 9/10. But if you know your camera, you will flip that result completely around. Samsung is a tuner car, the iphone is a vw gti. Watch a few youtube camera pro features videos and you put the iphone to shame
