Hi
The Galaxy A23 can’t receive One UI 7 (Android 15) mainly because of Samsung’s update policy and the phone’s hardware cycle. Here’s a breakdown:
🔹 1. Software Update Policy
Samsung promised the A23 (released in 2022) 2 years of Android upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
It launched with Android 12 (One UI 4.1)
Then got Android 13 (One UI 5)
And later Android 14 (One UI 6)
That means it has already reached the end of its major OS upgrade cycle — Android 14 was its final big update.
🔹 2. Hardware Limitations
While the Snapdragon 680 inside the A23 is decent, it’s not optimized for future heavy UI versions like One UI 7, which will bring advanced AI features and performance demands aimed at newer chips (like Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and above).
🔹 3. Samsung’s Tier System
Samsung categorizes devices:
Flagships (S / Z series) → 4 Android upgrades
A mid-premium (A5x, A7x) → 4 upgrades
Budget (A1x, A2x) → 2 upgrades
So the A23 falls in the budget category, hence the shorter support.
---
💡 Summary:
> Galaxy A23 reached its update limit — Android 14 (One UI 6) is its last major update.
It’ll still get security patches until 2026, but no Android 15 / One UI 7.
