Recently updated software on A52s to UI 6.0. Eversimce my phone has been freezing regularly..anynody else having the ssmr issue..thanks...

It's often recommended that you factory reset your device after a huge OS update, especially going from one version of android to the next. Try updating all your apps perhaps it helps.

Would the factory reset not remove the updated software?

No, it simply resets all your app data, so it's better for the new version of android to build its own app data. Just back up your contacts and messages and anything else you might want to save, like pictures, videos, music, etc.

Alternatively you can just clear your system cache, that should solve the problem, it gives the same result as a fresh install.

You might try resetting the phone
