Galaxy AThat’s definitely frustrating,Klaus— and you’re not alone. After the latest update, some Galaxy A35 users have reported freezing, auto-restarts, and faster battery drain. Let’s go step by step to narrow it down and fix it, in shaa Allah 👇
---
🔍 Step 1: Check for Problematic Apps
Some apps (especially older or background-heavy ones) can conflict after updates.
1. Go to Settings → Battery and device care → Battery → Usage since last full charge.
Look for any app that shows unusually high battery use or is active even when you’re not using it (e.g. Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, or certain antivirus apps).
If you see one, Force stop it and monitor your phone for a few hours.
You can also boot into Safe Mode to confirm if an app is the cause:
Hold the Power button, then long-press Power off → Tap Safe Mode.
In Safe Mode, only system apps run.
Use the phone for a bit — if it doesn’t freeze or restart, one of your downloaded apps is the culprit.
Restart normally afterward to exit Safe Mode.
---
🔧 Step 2: Clear Cache After Update
Updates sometimes leave behind corrupted system cache.
1. Power off your phone.
2. Hold Volume Up + Power until you see the Samsung logo.
3. Use volume buttons to select Wipe cache partition → Yes.
4. Then select Repair apps (if available).
5. Reboot normally.
This won’t delete any of your data — it just clears system junk.
---
⚙️ Step 3: Optimize Battery Settings
1. Go to Settings → Battery and device care → Battery → Background usage limits.
Turn on Put unused apps to sleep and Adaptive battery.
2. Check Settings → Apps → [suspected app] → Battery → Restricted for any heavy apps.
---
📱 Step 4: Software Fixes
Go to Settings → Software update → Download and install — Samsung sometimes releases small “stability patches” after a major update.
Also check Galaxy Store → Menu → Updates to update Samsung apps (e.g., One UI Home, Device Care).
---
💡 Step 5: Last Resort
If nothing works:
Backup your data.
Try Settings → General management → Reset → Reset settings (this won’t delete your data, just resets system preferences).
If issues persist, do a Factory data reset after backup.
