I'm getting impatient waiting for the One UI7 update. Android 16 is coming to Google phones in 4 months, and Samsung just released Android 15 for the S25. Maybe it's time to consider switching to a Google phone?

If you don't want One UI, you can switch. It's easy for Google to release Android updates, but not for other companies who take Android and modify it to add their own tweaks to it like One UI skin, additional features, Good Lock...., Gaming features, Camera features, AI features...., then looking for and correcting errors in the software, receiving feedback from beta testers....correct that errors, assuming this is how it goes, then they have different lines of devices which also need to take into account, they have to strip down the software features for each devices in each line up S,A,M...
You can think of Pixel phones like iPhones.
By the way, One UI 7 is still under test. Maybe another reason it's taking long is because of intensive UI changes and new features. It's worth the wait.
