Facial recognition is not that safe, my little bro looks a lot like me and he can open my phone easily, we tried this several times and still it unlocks....if there's someone you know who looks a lot like you they can probably open your phone....... I rely on fingerprint sensor now.

Facial Recognition isn't the safest on most Android phones mostly because it takes a 2D face scan. Some Android phones have the required hardware built in or like the latest iPhones that have FaceID (which has a 3D face scanner amongst other things).
1. It's better to use the fingerprint reader with the current phone you have.
2. Use Facial recognition on a different continent or a country where you're less likely to bump into people of your ethnicity because there is a similarity in facial features.

It depends on the phone you have really. On high end phones facial recognition is much more better at detecting .
