I feel like samsung wasted a year of android updates but releasing 2 updates in the same year

You are absolutely right. Especially for mid-range phones. Phones that are promised One UI updates had a huge minus in their numbers especially the ones that started at One UI 6.1. The first given one was One UI 7 which minused their promised number of years to 3 updates an "unnecessary" One UI 8 which actually does not have nor do that much for them. Now they are left with less years on One UI updates. The distance between One UI 7 and One UI 8 is something to talk about. That was in a very short period of time.

One ui 7 was released too late that's why

The problem was with one ui 7. Its was supposed to be released last year in September i think. But because of bugs and glitches they had to wait until early 2025.
