This is most useless phone I have ever owned, it is slow, it freezes and some of my apps don't always open until I restart the stupid thing

I have done a cache wipe, it has the latest update, don't know what else to do, any suggestions other than smashing it

1. Try to delete unused apps or enable them to go to sleep if not being used.

2. Clear cache partition.
Switch off your phone. (Power off)
While it is off, hold the VOLUME UP button and the power button to turn it on. Hold like that until the Samsung logo appears.
Use the volume up and volume down to select options and the power key to enter into it. This time you will select to Wipe Cache portion.
I once did it and nothing got deleted in my phone. I remember it was in 2022, I was owning a A32.
After that, restart your phone.

3. Restart the phone is safe mode.
When your phone is on, power off your phone. But this time, do not just tap the "Power off option". Long press on it and it will turn green.(safe mode) Restart your phone like that.
After doing this, it wasn't fast but at least it was not lagging anymore.

My sons A34 was doing the same thing until i git a 2nd hand S22 from work

I have a Galaxy A34 as well and I have no lag or app issues whatsoever
