I am experiencing some difficulties with my fingerprint recognition system. It intermittently fails to register my fingerprint. When I attempted to remove my existing fingerprint and add a new one, an unusual issue arose. The system prompts me to lift my finger and re-position it on the sensor. However, when I lift my finger, the sensor does not seem to recognize it, and I continue to receive the prompt to lift it again. As a result, I am unable to add any new fingerprints at this time.

A15 fingerprint sensor is in the side of the phone, so this won't affect it.

If your fingerprint sensor isn’t working properly, try these fixes:

1. Clean the sensor and your finger – Wipe the sensor and make sure your finger is dry.

2. Restart your phone – Sometimes, a simple reboot can fix the issue.

3. Check your screen protector – If it’s too thick or not fingerprint-friendly, it might be interfering.

4. Update your software – Go to Settings > Software update and make sure your on the latest version.

5. Remove and re-add fingerprints – Delete your saved fingerprints and try registering them again.

6. Test in Safe Mode – If it works in Safe Mode, a third-party app might be causeing the problem.

7. Run diagnostics – Use the Samsung Members app to check if the sensor is falty.

8. Visit a service center – If nothing else works, it might be a hardware issues that needs professional repair

I did all that, except going to service center. The sensor reads my fingerprint fine at first but it gets stuck thinking that I haven't removed my finger. So every time I am promoted to use the sensor I have one chance to position my finger correctly,. I learned this the hard way when I tried to remove my fingerprint and add it again and was promoted to lift my finger but when I did it didn't register it and kept telling me to lift my finger, it's like it freezes when I use the sensor.

Sometimes this could be the issue of the screen guard that you are using
Some of the privacy guard may have this issue as well as the extra dense ones.

A15 fingerprint sensor is on the side on the phone so the screen protector doesn't affect it. Plus the sensor is working fine but it doesn't register when I lift my finger, it thinks I am still holding down the sensor, it's like it freezes.
