Calibrate the DOF adapter

What is a Depth of Field (DOF) adapter? – The DOF adapter is a device that allows you to attach professional lenses to your smartphone.

When an external lens is attached, the image is rotated 180 degrees according to the optical characteristics, so the DOF adapter correction function rotates the rotated image 180 degrees through the sensor settings to produce an image that is identical to what the eye sees.

  • Supported Modes: Pro Mode, Pro Video Mode
  • For optimal quality, it is recommended to turn off video stabilization function and use it with a gimbal

Anamorphic Lens Correction

Figure 1.jpg

What is an anamorphic lens? – Anamorphic lenses are lenses that compress the image horizontally to allow you to capture a wider angle of view. In addition to a wider angle of view, its unique flare and bokeh effects make it widely used in film and other video shoots.

Anamorphic lenses for mobile phones are typically available in two magnification ratios: x1.33 and x1.55. This means that you can shoot horizontally and with a wider angle of view in proportion to the magnification.

When shooting after installing only anamorphic lenses without additional processing, the image is compressed left and right and saved in a distorted state as shown below. In order to make this distorted (compressed) image normal, you need to increase the resulting image to x1.33 times or x1.55 times as shown below.

To support these anamorphic lenses, Camera assistant gives you the ability to stretch the image to the correct ratio and save it when you select x1.33 or x1.55.

  • Anamorphic lens correction only works at 16:9 setting in Pro Video mode, HDR10+ and 120fps are not supported.
  • Due to functional characteristics, the resolution of the actual result may differ from the setting.

          * Example) In case of 1920X1080 + x1.33, resulting resolution: 2560x1080

  • For optimal quality, it is recommended to turn off video stabilization function and use it with a gimbal.

Audio Monitoring

What is Audio Monitoring? - This feature allows you to monitor the audio actually input through the mic in real time when recording video.

When entering video series mode with audio monitoring ON, the audio coming in through the mic can be monitored in real time via any connected external device.

Supported Devices: HDMI, USB-C earphones, Bluetooth earphones/speakers, etc.

  • Supported Modes: Video Mode, Portrait Video Mode, Slow Motion Mode, Dual Recording Mode
  • Monitoring through the speaker of the smartphone itself is not supported, and in the case of wireless devices, there may be a slight delay due to technical reasons.

Models that support Professional Video function: Galaxy S24 series
