The BIA sensor has suddenly stopped working. It starts to measure to but it gets stuck at 60% ! Have reset the watch couple of times but still no fix. All other sensors are working fine. It is just 4 months old.

Hi 👋,

Thanks for raising this. Since your watch is just 4 months old, the BIA sensor (Body Composition) should definitely work properly. If it’s getting stuck at 60% despite resets, here are some things you can try:

1. Check Measurement Conditions

Make sure both your hands and the back of the watch are clean and dry (moisture, sweat, or dirt can interfere).

Wear the watch snug on your wrist, but not too tight.

Rest your arms on a flat surface, keep still, and avoid talking during measurement.

2. Update Software

Check if your watch and the Galaxy Wearable app are on the latest version—Samsung often patches sensor calibration issues.

3. Clear Watch Cache

Open Galaxy Wearable app > About Watch > Storage > Clear cache.

This can sometimes fix sensor hang-ups without needing a full reset.

4. Diagnostics Test

In the Samsung Members app > Support > Diagnostics, run a sensor test.

This will show if the BIA sensor is functioning correctly.

5. Service Check

Since the device is only 4 months old, it’s still under warranty. If the problem persists after the above steps, I’d recommend visiting a Samsung Service Center. They can recalibrate or replace the sensor if it’s a hardware fault.

👉 Because other sensors are working fine, this could be a software glitch or a sensor calibration issue. If updates and cache clearing don’t help, definitely let Samsung Support handle it under warranty.
