Thank you for contacting us.

We understand your concern regarding notifications not working on your Galaxy Watch after updating to One UI 8.0. We would like to clarify that rolling back the watch software to a previous version is not supported, as firmware downgrade is not available for security and stability reasons.

Please try the steps below to help restore notification functionality:

  1. Open Galaxy Wearable on your phone and go to watch settings > notifications, then ensure notifications are enabled for the required apps.
  2. In the phone settings, go to apps > Galaxy Wearable > notifications and make sure notification access is allowed.
  3. Open phone settings > apps > Galaxy Wearable > battery, and disable any battery optimization or background restrictions.
  4. Restart both the phone and the watch and allow a few minutes for synchronization.
  5. Ensure the watch software and Galaxy Wearable app are updated to the latest version.

If the issue continues after completing these steps, rest assured that you can visit our nearest service center to get the best possible assistance, you can check the nearest one through the link below.

Thank you for your response. i would like to highlight the steps you have provided. none of them worked.

The issue is with the firmware. and this is soo disappointing that samsung doesn't care to fix the solution.!

i have googled the issue and it gave a temporary solution by turning off the wrist detection.

your latest firmware is not supporting the wrist detection!

Hopefully we get a fix soon!
