Hello, you should've update your phone in fully charge or above 80% before you update.. or mabe sort of your wifi was stopped during the update.. I kindly restart your phone again and check the update.. let me know if could help. Thank you.!

I don't think battery should be an issue for the software update as samsung device senses the battery status before downloading any update... so it does not accept any update in battery is 20% or less ...

I doing update changing 98% and finish with 89%
And update finished and restart normally

My phone is working fine and there has been no issues after software update ... kindly get your phone checked at the service center if it is still under warranty...

Try deleting system cache.
It may help !
