Has anyone felt the S24 Ultra became sluggish after the latest update? It has marred the experience! Why do I suddenly find iPhones so attractive with their smoooth animations? It's 2024!!

Hi,
You may try wiping cache partition by booting device into recovery mode. It should solve your problem.

You have to turn off your phone, then either connect your USB-C headset or connect the device to a computer, then press and hold power and volume up button together to enter recovery mode.

Then use Volume key to move to "wipe cache" and press "power button" to select.

This will only wipe your device cache. No data will be harmed.

Good luck 👍

The thing is, you never need to wipe any cache or do anything to the iPhone to make it smoother. It just works. I love Samsung and have been using Galaxy phones for years, but I don't get why Android still lags. For years, I've been disappointed with the Galaxy Watch experience because the Apple Watch is way smoother, even older models. But the Galaxy Watch 7 is much better with animations this year. Choppy animations really cheapen the overall experience.

Totally get what you’re saying! iPhones are definitely optimized for smooth performance, but Android has made some great strides too. The Galaxy Watch 7’s improved animations are a big step up, but I agree, Apple has really set the standard in wearable tech. It’s all about finding the device that works best for you. Hopefully, Samsung keeps refining their experience!

You can keep up with your phone’s performance by using the Device Care feature. It provides an overview of your battery, storage, memory, and security. You can also automatically optimize your phone for faster, better performance.

Optimizing your device

On the Settings screen, tap Battery and device care → Optimize now.

The quick optimization feature improves device performance through the following actions.

Closing apps running in the background.
Managing abnormal battery usage.
Scanning for crashed apps and malware.
Optimize battery and use power saving modes
Check the remaining battery power and time to use the device. For devices with low battery levels, conserve battery power by turning on power saving features. On the Settings screen, tap Battery and device care → Battery → activate battery saving mode.

Power saving: Turn on power saving mode to extend the battery’s usage time.
Background usage limits: Limit battery usage for apps that you do not use often.
Wireless power sharing: Charge another device with your phone’s battery.
More battery settings: Configure advanced settings for the battery.
Clean storage
Check the status of the used and available storage.

On the Settings screen, tap Battery and device care → Storage. To delete files or uninstall apps that you do not use anymore, select a category. Then, touch and hold, or select, an item and tap Delete or Uninstall.

Clean memory
On the Settings screen, tap Battery and device care → Memory.

To speed up your device by stopping apps running in the background, tick apps from the apps list, and tap Clean now.

I'm well aware of device cars features and have been using them. This is not about that, it's about software updates that slow down or mess up the phone, which are not unheard of.
