Hello: those who haven't gotten the August 2024 update: please be patient. It'll come.

I only just got mine for the S22 Ultra. Patience is the name of the game here.

Ok. I have been following Google's progress with their Pixel series for some time. The latest versions just launched are the best in the series so far. Its camera execution [hardware & software] is top-notch. There is no doubt about that. I am not sure which version [in the series] you have decided to go for.

Historically, some of the Tensor SoC tech has been developed in collaboration with Samsung, which invariably means it has some Exynos DNA. There is some word going around that the secure space Google is developing for the next version of Android will incorporate code contributed by Samsung from its Secure Folder framework. These 2 companies, Google and Samsung are "co-opetitors". They collaborate and also compete. This is a good thing.

I am glad you have found a solution that works for you. Google has been known in the past to release frequent and on-time updates, some of which have simultaneously introduced regressions [problems]. No company is perfect, I guess. Each has its strengths and weaknesses, but in my opinion, overall, Samsung remains the best Android OEM.

Security is not solely down to the speed of update releases. There are a number of additional ways to mitigate security risks. For instance, I have multi-year security subscriptions for all my devices, mobile and PC. The platforms I know who issue the fastest updates are the ones whose core business is security. Even with Google, via its acquisition of Mandiant: its best and most secure platforms are its enterprise ones where users pay a premium for security.

Overall, Samsung meets my own needs more than adequately, both as a consumer, and especially as an enterprise user, with its Knox Platform for Enterprise [KPE], which provides defense-grade security, real-time protection, enterprise solutions and hardware and software integrations.

Given the way I am setup and operate, I can be patient to wait for updates. I like well-done updates, with preferably zero regressions.

In the Middle East, the update always arrives late. Science in America has arrived.
