● The Air Gap Problem: Even a microscopic layer of air or an incompatible adhesive between the glass and the screen can distort those sound waves.
● Glass Thickness: If the tempered glass is too thick, the sound waves lose energy before they can return to the sensor.

● Touch Sensitivity: Go to Settings > Display > Touch Sensitivity. Turn this ON. This increases the screen's sensitivity to compensate for the extra layer of glass.
● Always On Display (AOD): Sometimes the sensor "sleeps" too deeply. Ensure the fingerprint icon is visible on the AOD to ensure the sensor is primed for input.

● Proper Re-Registration (Crucial)
If you haven't done this since applying your latest glass, you must: Delete all existing fingerprints. Restart the phone. Re-register the same finger twice.

● UV Liquid Glue Protectors: These (like Whitestone Dome) use a liquid resin that fills the gap between the screen and glass, creating a solid path for sound waves. These are generally the most reliable for Ultra models. TPU/Film Protectors: If you want 100% reliability, high-quality film (non-glass) protectors will always work better than tempered glass.

Thank you for sharing your concern.

Regarding the fingerprint unlock issue, please note that using a screen protector (tempered glass) may affect the fingerprint sensor performance, especially if it is not fully compatible with the device.

Kindly try the following steps:

  1. Ensure “Touch sensitivity” is enabled from: Settings > Display
  2. Remove the screen protector and test the fingerprint sensor directly on the screen
  3. Delete and re-register your fingerprints again after removing the protector
  4. Make sure your finger and screen are clean and dry
  5. Ensure the device software is updated to the latest version

If the issue persists even without a screen protector, it may require further inspection.
