I regret to inform you that my Samsung S22 Ultra, which I eagerly updated a few weeks ago in anticipation of enhanced features and improved performance, encountered a significant issue post-update. Unfortunately, the phone's display suffered damage and started malfunctioning, especially when the refresh rate changed to higher, displaying lines and distortions that rendered the device nearly unusable.

I purchased the phone in the UAE in October 2022 with Samsung Care Plus coverage extending for two years until October 2024. I later migrated to India. While currently residing in India, I sought service from the Indian service center. Still, they denied assistance, despite there being a free screen replacement policy from Samsung India. They cited that the phone was originally purchased in the UAE. Consequently, I sent my phone to the UAE through my relative.

My relative made it a point to describe the problem and requested that the service center add a remark indicating that the display issue manifested after a recent software update. Unfortunately, this specific detail was not included in their records by the service center person. The disappointment was compounded by the fact that the service center personnel did not seem to value or acknowledge the information provided by the customer. It is disheartening when such crucial details are overlooked, especially when they could be integral to understanding the root cause of the problem.

Dubai customer care has informed me that they have to replace it under accidental protection for which the customer has to pay, despite the absence of any physical damage. Again, the issue occurred after a software update, and many users are experiencing the same problem.

Why is Samsung Gulf not taking responsibility for its own software update mistake and making customers bear the cost in the UAE? Why don't they provide free replacements, as Samsung does in India?

I hope that by highlighting these challenges, Samsung will take steps to rectify the situation and uphold the brand's commitment to delivering a positive customer experience.

I don't think this can be fixed by software updates.
Samsung India has acknowledged the issue and rolled out a policy that screens will be replaced free of cost till December 2023.

I don't know what's wrong with Samsung screens. It crashes after a period of time and the phone temperature rises very quickly

And I agree with you. Because there is not enough support for the Arab countries and the Middle East, unfortunately 💔🥲

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Kindly be advised that Warranty Conditions are deemed amended in compliance with the Country's applicable rules and regulations.
In accordance with the Samsung Care+ policy, it's important to note that the coverage does not extend to 100% of the repair costs. Consequently, there is a specified amount that the customer is required to contribute, and this amount is contingent upon the nature of the issue being addressed. We appreciate your understanding in this matter and remain committed to providing the best possible service.
