Galaxy SOn your S23 Ultra, both SIMs (physical + eSIM) stay on standby, but only one line can be actively used for data/calls at a time.
When the phone is switching networks, updating carrier settings, or using data on one SIM, the other line may temporarily go inactive — that’s why you miss calls.
It’s not a defect; it’s how dual-SIM works on most Galaxy devices.
What you can do:
1. Check SIM Manager → Settings > Connections > SIM Manager → confirm both lines are enabled.
2. Turn on Dual SIM Always On (if your carrier supports VoLTE/VoNR on both lines):
Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Call & text on other devices or “Dual SIM Always On.”
This allows call forwarding between your numbers so you don’t miss calls when one line is busy.
3. Keep software updated → Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung pushes patches for eSIM stability.
4. Restart after updates — sometimes eSIM profiles refresh incorrectly until a restart.
5. Contact your carriers → Some carriers don’t fully support Dual SIM Always On with eSIM + physical SIM. They may need to enable call forwarding on their side.

Galaxy SWhenever I try to enable this feature, the system buffers for around 10 seconds and then displays a message stating:
“Couldn't turn on Dual SIM Always On.”
I have tried restarting the phone, updating the software, and checking both SIM cards, but the issue still persists. This feature is very important for my daily communication, and I kindly request your assistance to resolve this problem at the earliest.
Please advise me on the next steps for troubleshooting or repair.
