Finger print not working

I recently updated my one ui 8 in my Galaxy s22 ultra, everything is fine but my fingerprint scanner got a lag. I can't use it. Before I updat my phone everything was fine but now it doesn't work

Check your screenguard/tempered glass also.

Tried removing and adding new, like Nomeh said? Then, also, it is not working, meaning you have to change the entire display. Also, troubleshoot once in phone diagnostics.

Brother just delete your previous added fingerprints and add again and check it will work inshaallah

Restart your phone and then try to add fingerprint again let me know if after restarting you're still facing problem!

After restarting it does works for a while, haven't noticed the accurate timing but later on same issue happens. The finger print scanner shows up in the screen but can't access it, don't know what i supposed to do.

1. Go to Settings → Security and privacy → Biometrics → Fingerprints
2. Enter your PIN/password if asked.
3. Tap the 3-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner → tap “About Fingerprints.”
4. Look for a line like:
> Fingerprint version: 6.2.50.27 or similar
(The number might differ depending on region and update build.)
If you see the version is missing or blank, that’s a sign the fingerprint firmware didn’t install correctly during the update — which could explain your lag.
Note if shows your version normaly then try to clear system partation cache one time to clean old software footprints that may cause error like these after major os update! Got it bro? Hope it gonna fix your issue i know how it feels if after these 2 steps your Fingerprint sensor not working properly you can give a shot to factory reset for deep cleaning software update errors 👌🏻
