I've just upgraded from a Samsung Note 8 to a Samsung S22 Ultra. While setting up the phone, I was fixing the Button Order for the Notification Panel Shortcuts and want to get a larger grid.

On the Note 8, the option is there. However on the S22 Ultra, there is no option.

I altered the Minimum Width [in Developer Options], but it didn't affect anything with the grid.

Hello,

As far as I could understand, you want a larger grid. That can be done by swiping the notification bar twice, from there you'll see a 3X3 grid.

If I didn't answer you question, can you further explain, what are you looking for? Thank you for reading.

Hi Oliver

I do want a larger grid.

Currently, swiping the Notification Panel twice allows me to see 8 Shortcuts (2x4) whereas on my Note 8, I was able to see 15 (3x5).

There is no option for Button Grid in the Notification Panel on my S22 Ultra like there was for my Note 8. Perhaps I'm unable to figure it out and am missing something?

As far as of my knowledge The maximum that you can get is the arrangement of 3X4 where it provides with a 12 button arrays.

For this you would have to change device control and media output option to toggle it to dont show. The settings can be found in quick panel layout option.

You may reply for any clarification
for the settings to be found: you may expand the panel fully and go to the optionsScreenshot_20221122-203428_One UI Home.jpg

Hi Aslam,

Your insight got me somewhere!

I removed the Multi-SIM from viewing, as well as the Device Control and Media Output.

This caused the grid to become 3x4. Now, I need it to be 3x5 and it will be perfect!

I've attached an image of the Note 8 Button Grid feature and the 3x5 option.Screenshot_20221122-210047_One UI Home_1000023783_1669136747.jpg

Good to know that it helped.
This is the extend we can increase in panel as far as i know.
If you find anything that helps in this, just enlighten me as well 😁

I think they have reduced the notification panel height and buttons as helping in reducing the finger stretching difficulty in larger screens.

WoW, you were extremely quick. I was going to recommend that after I got a bigger picture of the problem. Thank you Dr. Aslam for helping ILoveMaltesers.

Just for your reference, I've attached two images. One is of the Note 8 whereas the other is of the S22 Ultra. The option in Note 8 is in the same place to modify the Button Order, Status Bar, or Contact Samsung.20221122_210756_1000023785_1669136946.jpgScreenshot_20221122_210728_Samsung Members.jpg
