Most of the content showing in Arabic in the app details screen. I would like to switch to English.

Phone language is English but Galaxy Store app not respecting that.

Although this thread seems to fixate on the Middle East, I thought I'd give the answer to this.

I contacted Samsung via Chat and explained the issue (in Thailand, I get Thai script which I can't read).

Samsung simply says 'You can't do that'.

They are not interested, they don't want to fix this.

If you want this issue fixed, then you buy an iOS device.

It's clear I made an error deciding to try out an android device for the next few years, there are many things which they do not want to waste time fixing.

They simply wish to make people buy by pushing fancy AI enhancements.

I just found out where to change my REGION (greyed out in settings - by visiting the website) where I changed from Thailand to Malaysia which uses English.

Annoyingly, although my phone is now set up with the region Malaysia/English.

It is important to turn off, also, 'Customization Service'.

So basically, the store is in English - as witnessed in the menu - but I'm pretty sure that the application determines from your connection what content to serve, and annoyingly all the app descriptions and information is also in Thai.

Given the lack of response here from Samsung staff (and the few ridiculously wrong responses already entered) that this ridiculous issue is unrecognised, or simply ignored.

Should we believe then, that the "Samsung Community" is simply an effort to stop people airing issues in public, instead creating a 'sink hole' which will be invisible to the world, and also ignored by Samsung?

I was hoping for a more 'Linux' style experience compared to iOS, but all I see is that Samsung wants everyone to be pushed to do things their way.

Fixed it

Have 2 sims, 1st local, 2nd UK

I switched off the local sim, and it all turned English. I switched back on the 1st local sim and it is still English.

In addition, in the apps, seach for Sim and you will get 2 app, one for each sim. I deleted both data and cache on both. Just make sure you don't have any contact number saved there.

Having the same issue in Estonia. App has Estonian labels although system language is English.

This is how it works:

- If you don't have a sim, the language will be determined by your IP address (regardless of your account settings).

- If you have a sim, the language will be determined by your carrier (regardless of your account settings)

The account setting seems to only change the menu language not the content of the apps presented in the galaxy store.
