Guys I just installed the Samsung internet browser, I straight up got a problem. Just take a look at the screen shot. No toolbar, no settings icon, and it wants an update just after I installed it. Even after I just updated it, still same problem tried beta too. Pls fix ASAP!

Hi Martinez1971 Thank you for providing the screenshot. It clearly shows that your browser is stuck in a scaled UI layout Tablet Mode which is why the bottom navigation bar and the settings icon are missing.

Based on the imageplease try the following steps to restore the interface:

1. Reset the Layout via System Settings

Since you cannot access the Settings icon within the browser you must force it from the outside Go to your phone Settings > Apps > Samsung Internet. Tap on Samsung Internet settings (the gear icon).Go to Layout and menus.Ensure Show toolbar at bottom is enabled.Toggle the Hide toolbars while scrolling option off and then on again to refresh the rendering.

Adjust Screen Zoom and DPI

The screenshot looks like the DPI (Dots Per Inch) is set too high, making the browser think it’s on a tablet.Go to your phone Settings > Display > Screen zoom.Move the slider to the left minimum to see if the toolbar reappears. If it doesn't try moving it to the far right. This often snaps the UI back into place.

Address the Update Loopand WebView

The fact that it asks for an update immediately after installing suggests a conflict with the Android System WebView.Open the Google Play Store and search for Android System WebView. If an update is available, install it. If not, try Uninstalling Updates for WebView, then restart your phone and update it again.

 Check for Display Overlays

If you are using any Force Full Screen settings or third-party navigation bar apps:Go to Settings > Display > Full screen apps.Find Samsung Internet and set it to Auto or Show camera cutout.

If the problem persists even in the Beta version, it is likely a specific bug with the current firmware build on your Galaxy device. Since you are an active user, reporting this via Samsung Members > Get Help > Error Reports with this screenshot attached would be the best way to get a direct fix from the developers.

Thank you for contacting Samsung Gulf Electronics.

We understand your concern regarding Samsung Internet Browser behavior after installation.

Kindly try the following steps:

  1. Clear the browser cache and data:
Settings > Apps > Samsung Internet > Storage > Clear cache / Clear data
  2. Ensure the browser and device software are updated to the latest version.
  3. Restart the device after updating.
  4. If using tablet taskbar or DeX mode, kindly test the browser in normal tablet mode as well.
