If you're tired of switching back and forth between your tablet and phone, you can use SideSync. This app lets you share your phone's screen, answer calls, send text messages, and more straight from your tablet.
Note: The Galaxy S9 or later and the Tab S3 or later do not support SideSync. We recommend using Samsung Flow instead.
Set-up SideSync
Connecting your phone and tablet with SideSync is quick and easy.
First, make sure Samsung SideSync is installed and open on your two devices. Then, tap Start on both of them. From either device, tap the name of the other device you want to connect. Tap OK on both devices to confirm the connection.
Make a call from your tablet
If you need to make an important call but can't take your eyes away from the screen, use SideSync to dial your contacts and start the call from your tablet.
First, connect your phone and tablet through SideSync. Tap the Phone shortcut from SideSync on the tablet. Select your desired contact or use the keypad to enter a number. Tap Dial. After the call is connected, use the phone to talk to the other person.
If there is an incoming call, you will be notified with a pop up message. SideSync will also become temporarily disabled while the call is in progress. You will need to answer the call on your phone.
Note: If you don't see the Phone shortcut on your SideSync dashboard, tap the Plus icon, tap Phone, and then tap Add.
Send and recieve text messages on your tablet
If there is an urgent text you need to send, don't put your tablet down. Use SideSync to send a text directly from your tablet.
Connect the phone and tablet through SideSync. Tap the Messages shortcut in SideSync on the tablet. From there, send a message the way you normally would.
When you receive a text message, it will appear on the SideSync dashboard. Simply tap the text message you want to view.
Note: If you don't see the Messages shortcut on your SideSync dashboard, tap the Plus icon, tap Messages, and then tap Add.
You can type, copy, and paste texts directly from your tablet or vice-versa with SideSync.
Connect your phone and tablet through SideSync. Tap the Samsung Notes shortcut in SideSync on the tablet. Use the tablet's keyboard to enter text into your phone's Samsung Notes. When finished, tap Save.
You can use other features like the brush or even add an image to Samsung Notes while both your devices are connected to SideSync.
