Samsung HealthMy phone has Hungarian language settings. Until now, the Health app and the running coach spoke English. After the update to UI 8.0 on the watch, the Health app appears Hungarian on the watch, but language is mixed up. Sounds like the coach is reading Hungarian text in English. Please fix this, preferably by finally allowing us to adjust the language settings manually.

Samsung HealthThank you for contacting us and for sharing your concern regarding the language issue on your phone.
Please follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the problem. After completing all steps, check to confirm whether the issue has been resolved or still persists.
- Adjust App Language on Your Phone
Newer versions of Android (Android 13 / One UI 5 and above) allow you to set the language for individual apps.
- Open Settings on your phone.
- Tap General management.
- Tap App languages.
- Scroll through the list and select the Samsung Health app.
- Select your preferred language (e.g., English).
This may force the app interface and voice prompts to use a consistent language.
- Check Text-to-Speech (TTS) Settings
If the App Language setting does not resolve the audio issue, the problem may be related to the text-to-speech engine.
- Go to Settings > General management > Language and input > Text-to-speech output (path may vary depending on your phone model).
- Ensure the Preferred engine (Google TTS or Samsung TTS) has the correct language downloaded and selected.
If the text is in Hungarian but the TTS engine is reading it as English (or vice versa), mixed or distorted audio may occur.
- Other Steps
- Restart your devices: After adjusting any language settings, restart both your phone and your watch to apply the changes properly.
- Check Watch Settings: Go to Settings > General > Language and region on your watch (via the Galaxy Wearable app) and confirm it is set correctly. If available, choose Custom to set a different language independently.
- Contact Samsung Support: If the issue continues, it may be a software bug related to the UI 8.0 update and the Hungarian language pack. You can report this issue via the Samsung Members app for further assistance and to help us address it in future updates.
