Notification Sound Customisation

Hi,

I'm not able to customise my notification sound for different apps like Instagram and LinkedIn, coz it doesn't have customisation in-app.

In my S20 FE there was an option of "Notification Categories", it is not available in S24 Ultra, why ?!!!

How can I customise my notification sounds then ?!!!

While the “Notification Categories” feature isn’t directly available in the new One UI 6.1 on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra , you can still customize your notification sounds for individual App. Here’s how:


Open Settings.

Navigate to Apps.

Choose the specific app for which you want to set a custom notification sound.

Go to Notifications.

Ensure that Allow Notifications is turned on.

Under Notification Categories, click on the relevant category (e.g., “New Comments” for Instagram app).Set the desired sound for that category.

Remember, even though the exact “Notification Categories” option isn’t there, you can still achieve personalized notification sounds for different apps using the steps above.

I can't see the" Notification Categories" anywhere brother.

To find the option, head to Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings.

Scroll down, and you'll find Manage notification categories for each app.

Toggle it on, and your previous notification category settings should be restored.
