How to Stop Silent Mode Activation on Lock Screen

Does anyone know how to prevent the phone from going into silent mode while it's locked? I noticed it's easily accessible when locked, and I can't find any option to disable it.

Hello. I can understand your concerns. It seems the behaviour you have observed is standard on Android by default/design. I have also read that some other OEMs have custom settings to change this. I am not aware that Samsung ordinarily does. If someone else is, please let us/me know.

Kindly be advised that as a simple solution you can remove the option from the quick setting panel. 

Step 1. Swipe down on your main screen to open the quick access panel.

Step 2. Tap more options icon and “Edit buttons”.

Step 3. Tap and hold a button from the quick access menu below and drag it up to the menu above.

Step 4. Tap “Done” when finished selecting.
