ok then it is most likely hardware issues if earphone are working fine in same app. i think there is some issue in microphone may be dust or water anything. So it should be quick fix for Samsung care and Happy Diwali to you and your family!
If it is specific to app then wait for next security update for fix or if this issue is in all app then please try factory reset. Even after it is not working then it is related to hardware then you need to visit Samsung care.
