But then then they have to keep one ui 8 still safe for devices that still runs on it. They can't just forget and move on to one ui 8.5 and so on. That would be unfair
I agree like when the update drops for flagships then all flagships should receive it. When mid range get it all get it. Same goes to budget. But now they randomly pick devices in all categories to get it.
