1. Make sure the phone connected to a working internet connection.
2. Force stop and clear data for play store and google play services in Settings>apps
3. Restart your phone.
4. Check for update again.
5. If the above steps don't work. You should try to uninstall the updates for play store and google play services and let them update automatically by themselves. No input needed from you. Check for update again after a day or two. Make sure a new update have been installed for play store and google play services. Look for uninstall updates option in Settings>Apps> play store & play services>Top right corner 3 vertical dots.
