Go to security and privacy settings and follow process of enabling all security settings given there.Also for lock screen chose a password not pin or pattern.Then you can go for biometrics

It is a common issue if purchasing from alternative sources.I too purchased a Samsung galaxy A56 last year from Amazon and on checking found it was pre activated before 4 months so immediately I returned it back and purchased from Samsung store.
